Smartest Expedition ever. The all-new Ford Expedition offers more driver-assist technology than any other full-size SUV. In addition, an all-new high-strength, aluminum-alloy body and redesigned high-strength steel frame form the foundation for Expedition’s rugged off-road and strong towing capabilities. Thanks to the use of advanced materials, the all-new Expedition saves up to 300 pounds, and the team reinvested that weight savings everywhere it counts to give customers more technology and convenience features than ever before. More than 40 features and driver-assist technologies new to Expedition help make the journey as enjoyable as the destination. These include class-exclusive enhanced active park assist to easily pull in and out of parking spots, as well as available 360-degree camera technology to help customers see more around their Expedition for easier parking.
For today‘s active families, Ford introduced the all-new Ford Expedition - the smartest, most capable and most adaptable Expedition ever - with technology to keep every passenger connected, more power for drivers, and more expected towing capability than any other full-size SUV. Further new-to-Fiesta features inspired by Ford‘s larger vehicles include a heated steering wheel for comfort on cold winter mornings, and a stylish new instrument cluster featuring a 4.2 inch multi-function TFT display that delivers an attractive welcome sequence on start-up. A stiffer body structure, reduced powertrain noise vibration and harshness, enhanced powertrain isolation, and an acoustic windshield contribute to a more comfortable and premium driver and passenger experience. Best-in-class levels of quietness include an interior road noise level of 29.3 sone - a metric for loudness - at 100 km/h (62 mph), a 7 per cent improvement over the outgoing Fiesta.
The side profile is more settled and less wedge-shaped, combining with 71 mm additional body length and 12 mm additional width to give a longer and more premium appearance. The belt line stretches to the headlamps, and the window line is also stretched, in-keeping with the flowing, uninterrupted design. Even the door mirrors feature a straight cut between the upper and lower sections that is no longer interrupted by the indicator lens. The body side delivers an exceptional degree of sculpture for the Fiesta’s segment, designed to deliver captivating reflections under city lights. Unique wheel designs up to 18-inches include non-symmetrical designs that evoke movement even when standing still. At the rear, new horizontal rear lights further enhance the Fiesta‘s widened stance with broad shoulders, and feature a C-shaped signature light pattern.
