Niamh Hart Chevrolet, October 21st , 2017. "We have had the incredible opportunity to meet literally thousands of Gen 5 Camaro owners who provided direct feedback on what they loved about their car and what they wanted for the next-gen Camaro," said Al Oppenheiser, Camaro chief engineer. "As a result, the 2016 Camaro builds on what made the current Camaro such a success with more power, more agile handling and more technology. We expect it will set the new benchmark in the segment - and give a new generation of enthusiasts a reason to fall in love with Camaro." Approximately 70 percent of the architectural components are unique to Camaro. Through extensive computer-aided engineering, structural rigidity was increased by 28 percent, while the body-in-white mass was reduced by 133 pounds (60.5 kg). In their quest to make the 2016 Camaro as lean as possible, engineers and designers evaluated every aspect of its architecture - already the most mass-efficient ever created by GM - and supporting elements, saving grams here and pounds there that contributes to the car lower curb weight. As a result, the total curb weight for Camaro has been reduced by more than 200 pounds (90 kg). Significant weight savings came from using an aluminum instrument panel frame instead of steel, which saved 9.2 pounds (4.2 kg). The use of lightweight components, including aluminum front suspension links and steel rear suspension links with lightening holes, in the new five-link rear suspension system contributed to a 26-pound (12 kg) reduction in the overall suspension weight. With the lighter, stiffer architecture and more powerful engines, the Gen Six Camaro SS delivers better lap times than the fifth-generation track-focused Camaro 1LE package.

The 2017 Acadia builds on a legacy of intuitive functionality, with new features such as a split-folding second-row seat that improves on the original Smart Slide feature of the current model. It offers greater flexibility, including the capability of the curbside seat sliding and tilting forward, even with a forward-facing child seat in place, while the driver-side section tips and slides forward for easier access to the third row. The 50/50-split third-row seat folds flat for a completely flat load floor behind the second row and when the second row is also folded, there 79 cubic feet (2,237 liters) of cargo room. Levers at the rear of the vehicle make it easier to fold the second- and third-row seats.

"The changes for 2016 provide consumers with even more reasons to consider Terrain as it continues to be a smart choice for customers seeking versatility, style and technology." The compact SUV market leapt 17.4 percent in 2014 to account for 15.7 percent of the total U.S. market, overtaking midsize cars for the first time as the auto industry largest vehicle segment. It is also paired with the nine-speed automatic transmission. Both engines feature new intelligent stop/start technology that determines the best times for fuel-saving engine-stop events, based on a variety of driving factors. New Traction Mode Select is standard on all models and allows the driver to make real-time adjustments to the vehicle’s driving mode to account for varying road conditions. On available AWD models, it also allows the system to be completely disconnected from the rear axle, which helps save fuel and enhances refinement. High Country‘s exclusive Advanced AWD system employs twin-clutch technology that optimizes traction for every condition it encounters. It is engineered for optimal performance in wet, snowy and icy conditions, while also providing enhanced stability in dry conditions.

Paige Dodd Chevrolet, October 21st , 2017. The new Captiva underpins Chevrolet driving force - value for money. From the entry level 2.4 litre petrol-engined front wheel drive LS to the fully equipped 2.0 litre 150 PS diesel automatic LT, Captiva leaves nothing to be desired at any level. It will also appeal to a wide range of customers, from established families looking for a more stylish alternative to a seven-seat MPV to those with an outdoor lifestyle desiring a practical load carrier with good road manners and soft-road capability for those weekends in the country. Coming in close behind value is striking design and Captiva excels here too. It heralds the introduction of a new-style generation of Chevrolet products for Europe and, both inside and out, features design cues that will become familiar on future models.
